How the Corruption Works

Rather than randomly scrambling every byte, CorruptAnyFile applies format-aware corruption: it targets the specific headers and structural markers each file type depends on (the PDF header and trailer, a ZIP archive's central directory, a PNG chunk, a WAV/RIFF header, and so on). Formats without a bespoke rule still receive an effective generic multi-point corruption across the start, middle, and end of the file, so the result is unreadable regardless of file type.
